mono

blue: –noun
1.the pure color of a clear sky; the primary color between green and violet in the visible spectrum, an effect of light with a wavelength between 450 and 500 nm. (from dictionary.com)

Belpre, OH: May 12, 2009. Bridge to Parkersburg, WV, brings Route 50 across the Ohio River.

This gives me an idea. I would like to do a mini series of colors. I wish this web site loaded colors as they appear in 'real life' but I can not figure out the desaturated nature of it and how to counteract it. But all of that aside.. if anyone had seen anything that is a wild color, let me know!

Drive By Shooting. Ha.

Do not be fooled.. this is indeed a stab at recent events..

A flower from the Mine Disaster site. It too is burnt, or seems to be.

I've canceled my Saturday plans.
Millfield Mining Disaster Site. On November 5, 1930 the Sunday Creek Coal Mine (#6) exploded due to a spark and a methane gas leak.
73 men lost their lives. It is the biggest mining disaster in Ohio, the mine reopened one month after the event and continued to operate until 1945.
Millfield honors the date of the disaster every year.

November 5 is my birthday. uugh.
